Barnett Vineyards Cabernet Franc, Spring Mountain 2017

Fiona and Hal Barnett fell in love with Napa after a number of weekend visits. In 1983 they purchased 40 acres on Spring Mountain and planted vine the following year. Their first vintage was 1989 with 232 cases and they have never looked back. Their production remains quite small at 8,000 cases a year and they continue to produce estate wines that are expressive of the powerful Spring Mountain terroir.

This beautiful Cabernet Franc has notes of ripe plum and black cherries on the nose, the palate opens up with cocoa, black currants and coffee, the finish is lush and long, When Sonya finds a great Cab Franc she just cannot pass it up. We are delighted to have Barnett back on our wine wall!
